We are excited to bring you this innovative course that is a first for the industry! "Backstage Boot Camp" is a 2 day course that will not only enable you with core technical skills but give you an inside knowledge of the mindset required to succeed in the session world. To deliver this course we have collaborated with Alfie, who has years of experience in the industry as former 1st assistant to the acclaimed Eugene Souleiman. Alfie’s knowledge and experience means he truly understands how to succeed as an aspiring assistant.

With a growing portfolio Alfie has been lucky enough to work with renowned photographers such as Nick Knight and Nan Goldin to mention a few. Whilst creating publications for i-D, Document Journal, AnOther, Them and SSAW.

This course is about providing hair professionals with fundamental techniques that are the key components to not only working successfully backstage at fashion week but are also the foundations for most editorial looks. This course has never been taught before and will provide you with a unique insight into what it takes to secure a place in the top teams of the session world. Together we are eager to help prepare you to succeed in any environment.

  • What essential tools you will need in your kit bag.

  • Advice on applying to work backstage at fashion week, approaching agencies and building your own contacts.

  • Qualified salon hairdressers interested in developing new areas of their craft.

  • No backstage experience required.

  • Aspiring session stylists wanting to further their career.

  • Session stylists with backstage experience wanting to build more confidence.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

As part of a Session Kit course, you will have the opportunity to try out our full range of amazing tools. However you will be required to bring a basic kit with you.

  • Hair dryer

  • Tongs

  • Straightening iron

  • Brushes

  • Combs - Pin tail, standard cutting comb, wide tooth

  • Diffuser

 

SCHEDULE

  • Monday - 9.30am arrival, 10am start, 5.30pm finish (approximately.)

  • Tuesday - 10am , 5.30 finish.
